On March 28, 2025, Casa El Buen Samaritano hosted its 16th Annual Healing Love Gala—a joyful and spirit-filled evening themed “Saddle Up for Love.” Held at Casa’s Missouri City clinic, the event brought together more than 280 guests to celebrate the mission to provide free, faith-filled healthcare to Houston’s uninsured.

Paul Magyar of CityRise West University Baptist Church graciously hosted the night, with an opening blessing from Pastor Mark Edworthy of CityRise Missouri City. The warm, welcoming atmosphere set the tone for a powerful evening of connection and generosity.
The program featured an inspiring keynote address by Dr. Kofi Boahene, a leading facial plastic and reconstructive surgeon from Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine. Known internationally for his medical expertise and humanitarian work, Dr. Boahene shared powerful reflections on healing, dignity, and the profound intersection of faith and medicine.

Tim Dietz of Johnny Bravo Entertainment led a lively live auction, and the generosity in the room was nothing short of extraordinary. Thanks to every paddle raise, Casa met the full $250,000 match—and in total, the evening raised over $500,000 in support of Casa’s mission.
Special thanks go to HCA Healthcare of Houston, the event’s presenting sponsor, for their continued partnership and commitment to community health.
The “Saddle Up for Love” gala was more than just a celebration. It was a powerful expression of shared values, united hearts, and the belief that healthcare—offered in the name of Christ—can change lives.
Thank you to everyone who made the night unforgettable.
