A Testimony of Faith and Protection

At Casa El Buen Samaritano, stories often arise that illustrate the profound impact faith and divine intervention can have in one's life. One such story comes from a cherished patient who recently experienced a remarkable and humbling moment of grace.

Staff members always strive to ensure the safety and well-being of patients, especially during challenging times like Hurricane Beryl. As part of the efforts to keep everyone informed, staff called to cancel appointments due to the storm’s impact when one of Casa’s patients shared a remarkable story.

During the hurricane, the patient was feeling uneasy about the severe weather. Despite always parking his truck in the same spot without issue, he felt a strong inner prompt to move it. Trusting this feeling, he relocated his vehicle to a different spot, even though he wasn’t entirely sure why he needed to do so.

Moments later, a large tree, uprooted by the fierce hurricane winds, fell exactly where his truck had been parked. Fortunately, the truck was safe and unharmed, a relief given how essential it is for his work.

He felt deeply grateful, recognizing that this was more than just good luck—it was a blessing. This experience reminded him of his faith and the sense of guidance he believes he receives from God.

As it is written in Proverbs 3:5-6, "Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to Him, and He will make your paths straight."

The Casa staff are grateful to hear such stories of faith and protection. They remind everyone of the importance of being thankful for the blessings received. The patient's story highlights the strength and support found in faith and community, even amidst the challenges of a storm like Hurricane Beryl.
